The Christmas Gift Horse is raising money for The Mare and Foal Sanctuary. The Mare and Foal Sanctuary was founded in 1988 by the late Rosemary Kind and has a long history of rescuing, rehabilitating, training and rehoming horses and ponies. It became a registered charity in 1992, dedicated to ensuring that even the weakest, most badly injured, neglected or abandoned horses and ponies had specialised care and sanctuary for life. Thanks to the generosity of its supporters, the Sanctuary has rescued more than a thousand horses, ponies and foals across the UK. Today, there are around six hundred horses and ponies living peaceful lives in this safe haven.
